Snowy goodness

December was officially ushered in by a blast of snow. We woke up this morning to plenty of white stuff, which kept coming down this afternoon. Wetish white stuff that was a killer to shovel.
But it was perfect for you. Daddy bundled you up and set you free in the yard and you played while we shoveled. And shoveled. And shoveled. You were delighted with it all. You got a couple of sled rides around the block, then you filled your sled with snow and hunted for the most impressive clods of snow to fling on the ground. You gave the shoveling thing a go yourself, but it was so wet that you couldn't really lift it off the ground. You and Mommy made a very diminutive snowman since the top couple of inches wasn't as wet as the bottom, so the balls wouldn't roll into anything impressive.
Still, it was a snowman.
Afterward, we trooped inside and shared some cookies. Cookies that you had helped me make earlier today. Standing at your stool with me while I mixed the batter. You had your own bowl filled with the same good stuff that I was combining. I even stuck a finger in for a taste and was mighty impressed with your effort. A little on the runny side, though. Otherwise I would have popped 'em in the oven to see how they turned out.
All in all, a lovely snowy day. (Complete with those adorable just-in-from-playing-in-the-snow pink cheeks!)
