The land of toys

This was the first year you really seemed to have a concept of Christmas. You even sat on Santa's lap, although you didn't have much to say to the bearded man.
And as it was all building up to Christmas Day, you were getting impatient. Which seems to be a bit of a trend for you lately. You want everything RIGHT NOW! I'm really glad that I decided to keep the presents securely in storage until the big day. I just knew you wouldn't have been able to wait to open them. Which you proved on Christmas morning when you had to wait a couple of hours for Grandma and Louie to come. You wanted to open those presents so badly that you stood on the loveseat and yelled out the window, "GANDMA!" "GANDMA!"
Not that Mommy and Daddy are totally heartless. You certainly got to have your Santa gifts right away: the Thomas play tent and the battery-powered James. And we let you open a couple of Mommy-Daddy gifts too. But you kept pleading, "Open one more peasant." So Daddy wisely distracted you with some morning Playhouse Disney action until the grandparents arrived.
Grandma bestowed plenty of fun stuff on you, including a very nifty rug with streets that you can drive your cars along. And these cool puzzles that have tracks where you can hook in a bus or a train and watch it zig-zag all over the place. Grandpa scored a big hit with a remote-controlled caterpillar to go along with the remote-controlled dump truck (which you discovered a week early in Mommy's closet, unwrapped).
Today you received even more gifts from Vivienne and her family, and from her parents. So you're at the point where you don't know what to play with next. And we're at the point where we have to figure out how to organize it all and decide which of your older toys could go to a new home. The house has definitely been taken over by your stuff!
