New vocations
In addition to your normal jobs of preschooler, picky eater, Little Einsteins addict, chatterbox, sprinter, cat hugger, Matchbox collector, Cars afficianado, supreme vocalist, belly-button barer, and sleep avoider, you've taken up a couple of new interests in the past couple of days.
Above we see you fully engaged in yard work. You showed a similar interest last year, so maybe this is a serious thing. We can only hope!
Below is a photo of Daddy. Taken by you. During the dinner you both treated me to in honor of Mother's Day. You snapped about ten shots before I wrestled the (expensive!) camera from you. I try to humor you with the photo-taking on occasion, but I'm terrified of what could happen to my Nikon.
We had a nice time at dinner (although you still refuse to try new things, even yummy new things). Afterward we strolled around downtown, taking in the bridges over the Grand River and the beautiful light. It's my third Mother's Day with you, my fourth since you were born. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself that you're my son. You're my dream come true.
