The downs and the ups

This week is calmer.
Last week rattled me a bit, I'll admit. Two straight weeks of troubles at school. Going to pick you up and hearing about your misdeeds. I made Daddy pick you up last Thursday because I didn't think I could bear hearing about you biting Amanda or Jodie again.
But this week you've had two fairly awesome days. So I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The thing is, you've been fairly wonderful here at home. In fact, last Friday we had such a terrific day together. We ran errands and turned them into fun adventures. We had a pretty peaceful lunch together. We spent loads of time in the appliance section at Lowe's, opening and closing dishwashers and refrigerators and checking out lawn tractors. We painted. We played cash register. We fiddled around with Photo Booth and fell into fits of hysterics.
You and Daddy had an equally fun day on Saturday while I was visiting with Grandma. You even made a 10-minute rock video!
You two have also been having super hero adventures. You're really into pretend games and Daddy hit on the perfect outlet. A couple of weeks ago you were Robin to his Batman and you insisted we both call you Robin that night. Tonight you were Bat Hound, a creature I'd never heard of before. You guys found a video on YouTube and now you're geeked about that dog. You were crawling around on all fours and barking away.
I'm hoping that the school issues were just due to your recent transition to the new room. It would explain a lot. It would also help if Mother Nature would deal us some warmer weather so you kiddos could get out and play during the day. Crazy!
