Tomorrow is the big day
Your birthday is next week, but the party is tomorrow. You've been waiting for this moment for a few months. So it will be fun to watch you enjoying yourself. We're having it at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. They had a cool package where you rent the room and then the kids get to play in the museum beforehand. And we don't have to clean our house and watch kids run amok in the very tight confines.
You got your birthday present from us last weekend. Daddy took you to the bike store to "try on" bikes and some guy asked you if it was your birthday present and, well, it was. So there you are. You've got a 16-inch bike with training wheels. Black and blue. Batman colors, as you told me.
We had some great sunshine yesterday and the sidewalks were fairly clear so I caved to your daily pleas and took you out for a spin. You were so darn happy! It will be nice when the weather warms up next week and we can get out some more. This winter has been pretty brutal. I'm fed up with the snow, the cold temps and the high heating bills. Harrumph! So I'll wish for some more sunshine and some clear sidewalks for you.
