Have I ever mentioned how much I love your smile?

Well, it's always best for me to avoid trying to play catch-up here and to just go with what's happened recently. Because my brain doesn't really retain information for more than a few days!
Tonight's funny/cute moments:
After dinner you wanted to play restaurant, most likely based on our restaurant experience at brunch today. You keep the itemized receipts from any meal we pay for with a credit card. Part of your paper obsession. And you pulled them out and asked me to sign my name so that I could pay for my meal. Then you said:
"OK. You can come in. This is a very famous restaurant."
Me: "It is?"
"Yes. It's very famous."
Me: "What's so famous about it."
"1991. In 1991 we had a very big concert here and now the restaurant is famous."

Before dinner, you and I sat on the deck and ate goldfish crackers from our respective bowls. Two of our goldfish played hide-and-seek. When I finished my portion, you picked several out of your bowl and put them into mine because you wanted to share with me. Sweet.
--------------
You told Daddy that I was your girlfriend and then you said to me that you were going to take me out to dinner sometime.
Your latest obsession? You still love watching Bathound and Krypto on the computer, but now you've also seen several old Speed Racer cartoons. I caved and bought you a Speed Racer book today and you couldn't find it before bedtime. Hysterics ensued. You are just like me in that department, kiddo. When you can't find something, you can't let go. Luckily I was able to locate it and Daddy read it with you before you conked out, exhausted.
The last few nights have been good in the sleep department. You skip your nap and you're ready for the snoozing fairly early. But we went through a couple of weeks when you were boycotting the sandman. Even on the days you skipped naps. Daddy was out of town for a week and you and I had a few bedtime battles. I finally gave up. You wanted to sit in your room and "read" books all night long. You were up until 10 a couple of evenings. Then you broke the record when we visited Grandma last weekend. After Lauren's graduation party, you looked exhausted, but you were up until almost 11!
So I'm kind of glad that you're back on a more normal schedule. Although waking you up in the morning can still be a bit of a challenge. Grumpy!
There's no way I can recount all that's gone on the past couple of weeks, so I'll leave it with those little tidbits. I can certainly say that we're all glad the nice weather is back and we can be outside. You and Daddy even grilled together last night after you helped me do some gardening. Spring rocks!
